The Pankow-Quatro design-build team completed the design and construction of this new education and laboratory building for the Los Angeles Community College District. The project included 16 classrooms and 11 laboratories, an auditorium, departmental offices, student lounge and faculty lounge. A 44,000-square-foot, 408-space pervious paving parking lot is covered by photovoltaic panels. Site development included an outdoor amphitheater and a plaza that connects the new building to existing campus buildings. Pending LEED Platinum certification.

Project includes a 650 car capacity parking structure with alternative vehicle fuel stations, smart parking feature, and photovoltaic panels. Modernization/renovation of Cox Building infrastructure,finishes and support systems especially including upgraded and enhanced voice/data systems and audio-visual improvements. Thomas Lakin Building that will include a student success center, replacement of the gym floor and new protective covering, assessment and partial to full replacement of the bleachers, lighting and controls, fire alarm system upgrade, exterior stairs, improve the locker and wet room areas to accommodate separate women’s facilities, mechanical, electrical, and security upgrades along with site improvements at the athletic practice fields.
